GIMP Tutorial 2: Two Different Grass Textures

The latest N00Blender tutorial has been posted!!! After finally getting the audio to stick I went ahead and uploaded it. The only problem is now the audio is very quiet!! I do apologize for this, so make sure to turn your speakers up!! Next week I will be extending the grass tutorial for some Foliage!!

Of dropping things and bad voices.

So, these last few weeks have been hell.  On top of the Holidays, I drop my laptop down the stairs which makes me lose the grass tutorials.  Not a problem, cause I can easily recreate them.  Well now I can't seem to get the audio right on the finished video; it doesn't like to sync with the video.  Once I get that problem fixed I can resume tutorials. Hopefully soon.

An Introduction and some Dirt

The first video has been posted!!!
In this video, we go over a little bit about me and what N00Blender is about, and then go straight into creating a dirt texture in the Gimp. Check it out!!!

Welcome All!!!

Welcome to the N00Blender Blog!! This is the place where all of the N00Blender news and tutorials will be posted. I intend to release new videos every Wednesday covering a different subject on texturing in the Gimp and modeling in Blender.  These tutorials are NOT about modeling high-res images that can be used as art, these are more focused on creating the "background details" such as trees, rocks, etc. that is low-poly enough to place in video games and use as props in CG videos.  Also, all textures are created by hand in the Gimp and some even in Blender.  I will also show the process of creating Normal Maps and Emitter Maps to be used in your projects.

Hopefully you will enjoy what I do here and will learn something.  Follow my blog to stay up-to-date on news and tutorials, and don't forget to subscribe on YouTube!!!
